How you can help us

As a small independent charity why rely on a variety of support to enable us to continue to support visually impaired people in the South Lakes.  Below are a variety of ways in which you can help us but we are always looking at ways to improve our services and fundraising, so if you have a new idea please get in touch.


Become a volunteer

We are supported in many ways by volunteers and aim to provide worthwhile, interesting and fun experiences for all.  You may have skills you think could help us or would like to develop new ones.  You may have lots of spare time or just a little.  You may like to meet new people or want to help someone.  Whatever the reason, we'd love to hear from you and find a great volunteering opportunity for you.

Leave a legacy

Including Sight Advice South Lakes in your will can make such a big difference to many people's lives.  If you haven't prepared a will yet we can assist you with this through our Free Will Legacy scheme.

Become a Friend of Sight Advice South Lakes

The Friends of Sight Advice are supporters who have set up a regular donations to enable the charity to continue to support people.  This support allows the charity to plan for the future and can also benefit from Gift Aid.

Do ever use the internet to buy something?   By simply registering with easyfundraising, the next time you visit one of a variety of websites, like Amazon, a donation will be made to Sight Advice at no extra cost to you.  It's simple and quick.
